Canadian punk rock band Billy Talent existed for nearly a decade (under the name Pezz) before making their mainstream breakthrough with the release of their self-titled debut album. The album was nominated for the best rock album at the Juno Awards in 2004. This pretty angry record was a very unique album at the time of release. Each song brings its own new sounds and styles, which combine to create Billy Talent’s catchy and powerful sound. It’s their post-punk revival in a new, more trendy look.
